Dear Professor Brain,

My name is Jimena Correa, and I am submitting my English Portfolio for this course. In this portfolio, I included my Language & Literacy Narrative (LLN), Synthesis Essay, and Translation 1 and 2 and my Reflection Essay. Each of these works shows my growth as a student and a writer in English.

In my LLN, I explored my own language experiences and identity, which helped me connect personally with my writing. The Synthesis Essay shows how I used sources, in-text citations, and my own ideas to create a stronger academic essay talking about accent discrimination. In Translation 1 and 2, I practiced expressing my ideas in different formats, including visual and multimedia projects, learning to communicate my thoughts in new ways. Reflection Essay, I wrote about what I learn in the class by writing and classwork, I learned to express myself better, to trust in myself, and to understand that every effort brings me closer to my future.

Together, these works show my improvement in writing, critical thinking, and self-expression. I am proud of the effort I put into this portfolio and the skills I developed throughout the course. Thank you for your guidance, support, and feedback this semester.
