For me, and for many people, the question “How would you introduce yourself?” is difficult to answer, especially when you don’t know who you are or haven’t figured out what you want to be or how you want to be known. What could I say? “I’m good in my classes”? “I’m quiet when you first meet me”? Doesn’t that sound boring? Maybe I could say I’m boring, but that sounds even more boring. I can try to find something not so boring about myself, I think… I like sunrises, but I don’t like getting up early. I like watching the moon and the dark sky, of course, for their beauty, but also because falling asleep is almost impossible. I love taking pictures of landscapes, new places, animals, nature, or what little is left of it. Many people complain about that, always taking pictures, but for me, it’s a nice way to preserve memories. I like listening to music, I love it… But when I analyze the lyrics, many people don’t stop to think about what the singer-songwriter wants to express through their words. Besides enjoying the wonderful background instruments and rhythms, I truly love listening to songs. I also enjoy listening to people; sometimes I can get a little sensitive. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I think this might make me interested in psychology. I’d love to learn how people’s minds work. But anyway, this is just a brief introduction to me, and yes, I’m Jimena Correa.
